Elizabeth Worland (Ford)

Elizabeth (Worland) Ford died Nov. 5, 2014.  She was born to the late Mary Louise Grunthaner and John David Worland and grew up in Columbus, Ohio.  She graduated from Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA., with a B.S. in psychology, later earning a master's dregree in taxation from Pace University in New York City.  Beth was first employed by the Internal Revenue Service, where she worked for a number of years before moving to New York City to join Ernst and Young.  She was eventually promoted to partner in 1989 and retired from there in June of 2014.  Beth was an active member of the Knickerbocker Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and was an accomplished knitter.  Beth is survived by her loving husband, Thomas; her only child Megan (Ford) Rothstein and Megan's husband, Adam Rothstein; her sisters, Anne Lynch and Jane Baer; her brothers, John Worland and Mark Worland; and numerous nieces, nephews and one grand niece.  A private internment was held in Pittsburg, PA.

Mary Louise Smith (Ochoa)

Beth was such a good and fun friend.  I especially loved her droll sense of humor.  She picked up on the humor in situations; I can still see her face at those times.  She was a smart gal, and it looks like she made good use of her good brains.  

Beth is just the kind of friend you'd wish for, to share those years and adventures of youth.  Beth, thank you for being Beth.
